FABB's goal is a clean, healthy, empowering environment in the South Bronx. We are committed to creating institutional change through personal development of staff, volunteers and community members, and community organizing and education. FABB programs cultivate the leadership and critical thinking skills of low-income people, women, and people of color.
Youth Bring Energy to FABB Programs

IMRI: Infant Mortality Reduction Program
In collaboration with the New York City Department of Health, FABB provides workshops to reduce infant morality and promote healthy homes and healthy babies through holistic methods. FABB advocates for harm reduction, asthma control, emergency contraception, and reduction of lead poisoning.
Sustainable Communities Program
Provides low-income communities access to fresh, locally-grown organic produce and promotes land sovereignty. A seasonal farmer's market located at 138th Street and St. Ann's Avenue creates connections between the South Bronx and local farmers and communities throughout the Hudson Valley.

Wheel of Hope
A day of healing for breast cancer patients and survivors includes aroma therapy, meditation, chair yoga, healthy food and empowerment workshops.
Women's Sankofa Health Project
Sankofa is a Ghanaian word that means "return and get it" and symbolizes the importance of learning from our past. In this spirit, the youth-led Health Project provides support, rites of passage, connection, and education for Women of Color. An intergenerational discussion group deals with issues of pregnancy prevention and health, emergency contraception, sisterhood issues, and activism.
Youth Organizing Unifying Teaching and Healing (YOUTH)
Youth of Color activism group that supports FABB programs and creates safe spaces for youth of color and queer youth of color. YOUTH works for social justice through activities such as the Know Your Rights Campaign in collaboration with Critical Resistance and Seven Neighborhood Action Partnership.
